AFAIK, the network layer is based on the quake 3 engine (like all other 
games from the cod series), so you can easily use the information 
available about it (it's free now). For little details regarding cvars 
and others, iwnation.com forums have threads about them.

But I'm absolutely not a developer, so if I'm completely mistaken, don't 
hesitate to correct.
