I agree with Ben. Im not a fan of helping ppl who are unwilling to even
try to help themselves first and just look for others to find the quick
answer for them. Those type of ppl don't contribute to the communities,
they just look for the quick fix and bog down the system. Most support
forums generally have rules against that sort of thing, or mods that
will keep things like that out to keep the forums streamlined and
efficient for the readers and contributers. How would this mailing list
be different?
On top of that, this is a cod4 linux mailing list. What exactly does a
cod4irc bot have to do with that? Do you know how hard it is to sort
thru the archives now due to the enourmous amount of non linux questions
scattered in there? I cant find anything anymore.
And a final plus, what does Ben's answer on a mailing list have to do
with his support record? Do customers frequent admin mailing lists often
looking for support from there game server companies?
Just some thoughts is all. I hate seeing pointless arguements.
