[cod] FreeBSD Question

It's been a long time since I moved all my servers off 5.x, when I did 
there were a lot of stability issues. I imagine most of them have been 
cleaned up in the more recent releases. Unless you have hardware that 
isn't supported in 6.x there is really no reason to go with 5. 7.x is 
going to become the STABLE branch in the very near future, going with 6 
now will save you a little time when/if you decide to update. AFAIK 
there are no stability issues as far as game server hosting goes between 
5.x and 6.x, which includes cod4.

Out of curiosity, what made you choose FreeBSD? It's my OS of choice, 
just wondering what appeal it has for others.
