There is really nothing to it, what you need is the following:

1) The _newest_ version of wine (which for my part, since I'm running ubuntu
server 8.10, means I needed to download a newer .deb-package, you can grab
it from WineHQ).
2) All the CoD5 files _already patched_ to 1.1 (from a windows machine or
something)

Thats just about it.
