Yes it does, I have done it in the past.
Setup X-Windows with VNCServer, installed VMWARE, setup a Virtual
Machine and accessed it using the VNC Session.
Performance was so crap lol, but hey it was 2-3 years ago. With todays
dual core machines, It might run pretty.

correct me if i'm wrong.. but wouldn't that require using a GUI of some
sort? i don't have physical access to the server.

Why not set up a virtual machine and run the Windows binaries until the
linux binaries are done?
