Error: Sys_SendPacket: Operation not permitted

I've seen a previous topic on this, but I can't find out what's wrong (if
anything is wrong).

I've got a cod4 server running on CentOS 5. Every now and then I see the
message Error: Sys_SendPacket: Operation not permitted showing up on the
console.

It does however show up on the ingame browser, on stats.callofduty.com and
on the gitman server tool (http://www.anarchic-x.com/cod4master/audit.php).

I've read this error probably has something to do with my server not being
able to reach cod4master.activision.com (port 208000). But my firewall (I
use APF ) isn't blocking any outgoing traffic, and the cod4 server does show
up on all the lists. Is this error something I should examine further? Is
there anyway to check what causes this error?

I cannot ping www.activision.com (not from my server nor from my home). Any
other way? Some kind of cod4ping to port 20800?

Any advice?
