[cod] CentOS Huge CPU Usage

Hi, just did a quick test to see, as ours are all centos 4 (or rh or
lower)...tried a test server on version 5 final running at 1000hz and it had
this problem, 4.4 didn't at 1000hz, so that may be an alternative as well if
a kernel recompile doesn't sort it.
