[cod] zero guid

I have a feeling that because your forwarding any traffic back to the
server, you as a client can't get authorized by the master server thus you
can't get a GUID or because you and the server have the same IP address.

Just wondering, do you setup a listening server or a dedicated server?
Setting up a listening server could resolve your GUID problem but then again
that work around is not always the best.

Also give this a shot, fire up your client and browse the online games,
maybe even join one 1st. Then start your server. See if your GUID sticks...
Now that I'm thinking about this I think the server issues the GUID after
contacting the master server.... Sorry just thinking out loud.

Good luck and yes please keep us informed.

James,

About the guid on another server : Just tested it, and on another server I
do get a guid.
So it seems to only affect me when playing on my own server.

I could give it a try , and put the server on 28961 , or shouldn't that
matter ? (will try it anyway ;-) )

I'm not concerned that I couldn't ban myself, allthough I have the tendency
to cheat every now and then , but as we all know sometimes ppl get a zero
guid for "nothing" and when that happens I get kicked too, so I have to
guid_relax a bit more that I would like on our server. I want to keep it as
strict as possible.

For the record I will post any progress in here. So don't worry about that.
