[cod] COD2 on Debain 20 minute delay

Had this prob last year on a lanparty when I made my own cod2 server.

you might want to config your server with that the server is the host of
cod2master.activision.com


edit your server with this somewhere in the configs of the server itself
(not the cod2 files) and I runs great on a lan and your prob is solved:
127.0.0.1  cod2master.activision.com

atleast that was the solution we could think of to solf it fast and easy

Well this would be my problem then! The system's on a LAN with no internet
access.

What's the solution if you're hosting a LAN party then? Just don't shut
down the server I guess?
