[cod] Combining maps and skins

We are currently running 2 servers using the +fs_game <mod_dir> method with both running a large custom sound client download and one, a full 12 map pack.
The server running the map pack had all maps decompressed into their respective folders and then all combined into one .iwd file. Other than the quality of some of the maps, we are having no issues with redirect downloads (provided the set sv_wwwDlDisconnected is set to a value of "1").

We are also having no functionality issues relating to the map pack in combination with a hybrid version of the WRM mod. Any who wish to see can check it at 64.246.61.78:28960. Be forewarned that the mod DL is 60 meg and the map pack 65 so a new user will experience a delay depending on your net connection. I usually get 700-750k myself.

Regards,

Steve C.

It is not illegal, however creating map packs at random can create problems for users. Be sure to use fs_game and it should, in theory, work. I have never got a map pack to work with any mod.
