Who 'owns' those files?  you need to chown them to the username that is going to be executing the game.

I THINK it's 

chown  -r username:groupname directory

You can substitute the uid and gid numbers for the names if you want, and the -r stands for 'recursive' which means it tracks down through the subdirectories so that everything is changed, and not just the top level directory you're working in.  you may want to check the man page for chown:

man chown
