You can also do "/con_minicon 1" and then "/con_miniconlines 100" and
you will get the console output overlayed on top of the screen.  I like
to go one step farther and do '/bind [ "toggle con_minicon 0 1"' and
then you can turn it off and on by pressing [ or whatever you bind it
to.
