what OS are you running, or flavor of linux should I say? Perhaps it
is something related to how some poeple at the jeep bug and some did
not. Seems like the Enterprise versions of things for redhat at least
posed no crashing problems.

You know what you talking about?
Copy uo files from cd and the 1.41* uo_serverfiles is not like a
"install" so what should it help to copy files again? Nothing!
The old cod server works fine.

Have you tried a fresh install before you go crazy thinking it is
actually a bug?

Can someone else try to reproduce this problem.
I have loaded up a Domination server and it was running stanjel. I was
the only person in it. I ran around as a axis, taking a peak at the
map and then decided to change sides. Got out a nade, cooked it, died
and the server crashed.
Tried it again but this time throwing the nade against a wall back on
to me (see if the cooking was a prob), and it crashed. Changed to
allied, did the same and it crashed. Changed the map to sicilly, tried
the same things and it crashed.
I was the only person on the server.
Cheers,
Richard.
