Gentoo is not good for running servers. I use it for my desktop and all
the boxes I have at home but after running a bunch of games server on
gentoo I gave up and moved to fedora core 1.

Gentoo is just not stable (not quite the right word) enough and requires
too much manual admin - like updating all your config files every time
you update your system :-/
