Attaching EXEs to listmail...

Someone sent a copy of Putty (the Windows ssh client) to the COD mailing
list as an attachment. Please do not do this!

1) Sending an .EXE almost always means virus-compromised system, so many
mail servers will just block them, period.
2) There're hundreds of people on this list. Most are Linux admins, and
either already have, or don't want, a Windows version of SSH.
3) There're hundreds of people on this list. I pay for the bandwidth to
send each of them an unsolicited copy of Putty.exe.

Ideally if you need to send these sort of things to everyone, you put
them on a webserver, and send the URL to the list. If you need to send
it to one person, then email still isn't the best option in many cases,
but please, send it to just that one person.

Thanks,
--ryan.
