[cod] Anyway to start it up like /etc/init.d/cod_lnxded start?

Yes, most linux flavors allow this. In order to add a new 'service'
to /etc/init.d you need to write an init script that would start the
game. then, use 'service cod start' to start the server. I have used
this method to start all my servers at once. I then also set this
service to start on boot so that I dont have to worry about games
being down if the server restarts
