try using the console tyo set the cvar, there is no reason that putty would ever do this. I would also change the rcon password. Try these fist.

Subject: [cod] Question regarding Putty and Cvars

I received this note from one of my clients. Seems when he uses Putty to stop and start the server it is putting is cheat cvar to 1. I have checked his server.cfg and there is nothing in there that would cause this.

I just shut down the server and opened it again using PUTTY and the cheats cvar was set to 1. It was set to 0 before I did that.

Something in putty is setting the cvar for cheats to 1. All I did was shut it down and turn it back on again using PUTTY. This is interfering with CI. CI will not run when it's set to 1, and CI then sets something in my registry as if I'm running hacks on the server.

  Any suggestions?

  Thank you in advance.
