Download Redirect

Is there any possibility that CoD will ever include a download redirect
function? UT and RTCW (q3 based!) have it. The lack of this feature
coupled with the inherently crappy download code of q3 engine has all
but killed off SoF2 since Raven abandoned it. I would do the mod myself
but I can't make heads or tails of the code.
