given the option to have those extra weapons 'unlocked' but for those who
have achieved a high enough rank (read: must play on official server for
some period of time to do that) to do so, as a server side setting.

What do I feel that I'll be getting? A gimped, 'lite' version of a game and
server for both my business and my community that I'll have at least paid
full price for.

Right now, I certainly don't charge an arm and a leg for any of my bf1942 or
bfv servers, much less than they (EA) do, and competition is already steep
enough among us small providers.  People aren't even willing to pay half of
what EA will be charging I'm sure.

I guess all we can do is take the 'wait and see' approach, HOPE that they
will release at least a demo linux server, and then let everything fall as
it will.
