[bf1942] Custom maps on Linux?

Why is the Map Pack distributed as an "EXE" file?!

Now I must download it to my Windows PC and upload the extracted files 
to my linux box - with my very very low upstream, which is standard for 
DSL here in Germany unfortunately.

wget on the box would be much more convenient... but I cannot do 
anything with that EXE file then.

But well I'll survive it, take it as a suggestion for the next map pack, 
and I hope we can attract some players from the ranked servers ;-)
