I agree; ping information is particularly useful--you need it, for
example, for status tools that differentiate local from remote users,
for admin tools that kick high-ping players, to monitor overall server
performance, etc.  To not have ping data in the game status function
would be a serious gap.

For my uses, team names are less important--maybe because I'm used to
them not being relevent ("axis" and "allies" shown, when it should be
mod-dependent, such as "coalition" and "opposition"), but other team
data, like current overall scores for each team, ARE useful--if you want
to have a scoreboard, for example, you have to have a way of getting the
score!  I suppose that you could calculate some kind of overall score
from individual player scores, but why bother removing an existing
function that people want and use?

Please considering putting ping back, and leaving team information
intact.
