The PunkBuster freezing problem

Is there any fix for the intermittent server freezes caused by 
PunkBuster yet? You know, the one where all players on the server get 
"There is a problem with your connection" for 5 seconds every 3 minutes.

Will this be fixed in the upcoming server update or is it up to 
Evenbalance to fix PunkBuster?

Also, any ideas why this doesn't seem to affect all servers?
