Yep, using it on Fedora Core 2. Just install the Mono RPM's.

.NET is kinda like Java, and Mono is like a JVM.

There are some issues with it, but nothing specific to Linux that I've 
seen. The biggest one is that it can be fragile importing your 
settings.con. The dev is hardening that part.
