[bf1942] web script

That's the problem .... I am trying to run this off a web page and it wants
to run it as the apache user ...... as root there is no need for the
password ....

At the end of the day I am trying to make a webpage that will allow the
clients to start/stop their server at will

Try this...

su rental1 -c "/home/user/bf2/start.sh"

running that line as root will force the command to be loaded as
"rental1" instead.
