We're planning on doing the same thing, but the lack of an easy way to 
retrieve the keyhash has proved problematic. If you get it figured out,

Also, lots of good python info/code sharing coing on there.. Could be 
helpful for you (there's a chat message admin script there already, 
lacking the keyhash based authentication as well).
