[bf1942] BF Viet and BFSMD

Expecting Dice to support a 3rd party application that they have no rights
to is just wrong.

Don't misunderstand me, I love BBO not because it is a fine application
(which it is) but because it allows us to rent servers and use bandwidth
that would otherwise be wasted. BBO eliminates the need for direct access
to the server, that is the *only* way we will ever consider renting them.

We will not install any BFV servers until there is an application like BBO
that allows complete administration from the interface. Linux code of
course, the server version of the kicker may fill the bill for win admins.

The way I see it, if BBO is not updated for BFV, that is on Kevin and not
Dice. I fully understand wanting to get paid for the work and Kevin
deserves it. However, this is not the way to go about it. Strong arming the
game developer into supporting a third party app they have zero rights to
so that we can use it free is unrealistic.

Now listen, donations don't cut it, put a freaking price tag on this thing.
People will use it, Kevin will get paid and Dice can concentrate on making
their game batter and more efficient... which should be their only real
concern anyway.

One observation. There will be other admin solutions, this community is
full of talent and I am sure there are people working on projects like this
right now. It does take time though, we have a slew of 3rd party code for
HL because the game is 6 years old, no doubt as the BF series ages this
situation will improve.
