[bf1942] OT: /proc, top, ps broken in some linux kernels?

Im running 2.6.5 on our test box now and it does look better but from
reading about this will only be due to the increase in default HZ value
in the kernel, hence it will reduce the possibility of cpu usage going
unrecorded but not eliminate it.
