[bf1942] Official WW2 mod for BFV, server files?

I sort of agree - The logical step is on to bigger and better engines, and I
really do like the feel of bfv over 42, but the performance is terrible, the
maps are exploit-ridden (worse than 42), and the anti-air solution was
pretty half-baked. Your devs grow risher as you die from lag, GI. I really
do like that line. ;) I wish the best for bfv, cos that's where I'm at, but
things are not looking so great with bf2 not so far away.

Id agree with everything you have just said there Stefan.

Been playing since day one of the demo and haven't turned back.
Personally, I feel that the graphics in the new mod are a bit 'cartoonish'
for my liking and for 4 months work the community could have done better.

I think it is pretty simple that DICE considers BF1942 to be dead, even
with thousands of unique players each day.

Regarding the petition, I have always thought DICE wouldn't even look at
it, looks like I was right. They will all be getting ready to rush the
release of BF2 in my opinion but who cares from the DICE and EA sides of
things? I know for a fact they don't.

v1.1 is a big improvement from 1.0, I must give that to them, but why wasn
't it there from day one? It took months to make a patch that actually made
the game partially what enjoyable? Dice say that it's a new game entirely,
so how did they build the 1.1 patch of BF1942 v1.5? Where were the features
that we were promised? Flare gun, tunnel system . never appeared? There's a
surprise.

Like you Stefan, I really do enjoy the game and want to see it last for a
lot longer than it is set to. By Dice and EAs reckoning it already is dead!

I can see Dice giving up on BFV soon as well!

  Jay

May I ask why this mod is released ?

Does Dice think all BF1942 will move over?

To continue on the BF1942 Petition topic, this is another waste of time,

nothing the community has asked for.

Only BF:V people will start playing this mod, BF1942 people are

forgotten again, but still the more played game

  throughout Europe.

This time could have been better invested in a new BF1942 1.7 patch with

a load of bugfixes, which the petition people

have signed for and never had any reply from Dice, a freaking petition

with 8500 unique votes has never been shown for any game on the internet

  !!!!!!

  Good job DICE, really!

Anyway I am glad to report the amount of BF:V has DECREASED since the

v1.1 patch and the amount of BF1942 has INCREASED a little again and I
hope

Dice ever sees the light (again).

And please flame me, because i'm a real dedicated community person.

  Regards,

  Stefan aka stx
