As you can see, it's packaged in a simple tarball.  Untar it in your battlefield directory (it will create mods/bfv_ww2mod from there):

	# cd /path/to/your_bfv_install_dir
	# tar xzvf /path/to/bfv_ww2mod-20040820.1823.tar.gz
Or:
	# cd /path/to/your_bfv_install_dir
	# gunzip /path/to/bfv_ww2mod-20040820.1823.tar.gz
	# tar xvf /path/to/bfv_ww2mod-20040820.1823.tar
Or:
	# cd /path/to/your_bfv_install_dir
	# gunzip -c /path/to/bfv_ww2mod-20040820.1823.tar.gz | tar xv

Or any number of other methods.
