[bf1942] What's happening DICE?

Michael,

Thanks for the offer to provide details. The trouble with this
apparent bug is that it seems to crop up on some servers and not
others - even on Identical machines.

For instance, I ran a 'test' BFV server for three days straight
(full most of the day as well), cycling through all maps at 24
players. Never crashed once. This was a PIV 2.8 running redhat 9.

So, feeling pretty happy with this game and its stability, I
duplicate this exact game code to three other boxes and turn em
loose. Now, two of the four servers crash constantly on map change.
They are all four EXACTLY the same hardware and Linux build.

I thought it was bad ram or something since it seemed to make no
sense that 50% of my servers would crash and the other would be
stable...... so I moved one of the faulty ones to another new and
Identical box. It crashes, too.

After reading through the forums, it seems to me that there is some
sort of software glitch that is beyond me to diagnose. But, my
experience tells me that this is not the fault of the Linux build,
or an incorrect config file. It happens on BSD, Redhat, RH
enterprise, etc.
