[bf1942] Linkage changes once again

I'm going to try it next week, if it works the binary will only depend on
the 2.2 version; possibly 2.2.6.

It's going to take a fair bit of installations so I just wondered if anyone
here know offhand if it's possible to use gcc 3.2.3 with glibc < 2.3 so I'm
not wasting my time?
