[bf1942] Question for a dead list

I don't want to register on yet another forum, so I'll reply here. I
think your remote server mgr tool is good; I use it for my
Windows server running under winex on Linux. I'm stuck using 1.3,
though, since the 2.0 server-side part doesn't run under winex
properly.

At any rate, yes, if you developed a port that acted like halfd does
for hlds_linux (www.halfd.org), that'd be fantastic, and I'd almost
definitely use it.

One thing that's a must, though, is that it shouldn't need any remote
processes connected to it in order to actually use its features (like
the announcements, autokick/ban, etc). I don't want my server machine
depending on any other machine anywhere, and I don't want to have to
run some GUI thing on my server machine. I don't know if your 2.0
works like this or not, since I can't use it, but that's How It Should
Be.
