If it's not listed in fdisk, then what's he going to add to fstab.

Check cfdisk too, sometimes it displays things in a manner thats easier to
read than fdisk. Is there any unpartitioned space? Any space in a strange
format (not ext-(2 or 3) or reiserfs)?
