(windows) BF as a Service

Hey-
For those of you guys that are running BF1942 as a service under Windows, 
how are you guys doing it?  I'm currently doing it with FireDaemon .9.  Is 
there any reason to use instsrv/srvany over Firedaemon or vice versa?  I'm 
having a small problem with servers occasionally "falling asleep" -- that 
is, they just stop responding, but they're still running with their ports 
open.  Has anyone seen this problem before?  Thanks.
