it seems this has stirred up a bit of a flame war :-)

Let's take the middle way and set up that announce-only list,
I agree that this should make everyone happy.

Some people prefer the mailing list, and I'd hate to convert it to
moderated for that reason.

However, I can set up a bf1942-announce list that allows posting from
just
DICE employees, if you like. I think that should satisfy everyone.
