I think the HL mod: Counterstrike is the most successfull game yes.
Halflife Deathmatch aint at all.

Nope sorry topic is CS-halflife.
And valve doesn't work that much on any mod. It's not comparable imho.
And
halflife mods have succes yes in multiplaying (not valve work), halflife
itself (hl dm) is just a weak quakeworld ripoff.

Halflife dumby
The patch was for the engine
All the mods benefited
And yeah the last few years the patch slowed down because its finaly
refined
That does happen you fool when the bugs are finaly worked out.. And you
cannot deny that valve has been a huge supporter for its mod community
and
ontop of patching and bug fixen. More so then any other game.. Stop
don't
argue that..many others have tried to follow valves example

CS excist almost 4 years now, they had only 5 releases the last 2 years.
(before that beta after beta) That's an average of 2,5 per year. BF1942
now
excist 9 months or so, how many did they have ? Good, that will shut
your
mouth. By the way, CS was a mod, they didn't have to develop their own
engine etc.. BF1942 isn't a mod. So you can't compare these two at all.
The
CS dudes also did their quality checks very well btw. And blame Valve
for
the hl engine, not the cs dudes ;)

And success of EA (Dice) is a good quality check.

Stop posting threads like that!
