[bf1942] Mysterious connection problem?

I use SuSE 8.1, so I'm at least familiar with your distro.

I appears that you are using a multi-homed setup, that is the same as mine.

I got the server to work by binding the server to my LAN port, then going through Internet games tag and entering in the IP address of the LAN port.

My understanding is that the BF1942 server LAN broadcast response is broken, and that is why it does not show up on the local server's list.

Also, have you tried checking your firewall rejection logs?  Perhaps that might give you some more info.
