[bf1942] Expired Linux Version?

This is ridiculous...same questions twice a day. Could the admin PLEASE
change the listserv welcome message or something similar since the widely
referenced distributable points to something outdated (both the file and not
updating the web site) and mention there where the new version can be found.
This is just way too amateur the way it is now and so easy to fix.

Subject: [bf1942] Expired Linux Version?

Hey --
I'm sure this has been answered a billion times but I just downloaded
what I thought was the latest version of the linux dedicated from
fileplanet and I try to run it and get an expired notice.
Where can I get a newer version? Is there a newer version?

Thanks for your help,
Erik G Landru

It really depends on the map. Wake, for example, is unplayable.

Also, we are experimenting with running all the bf1942 data files
from an md (mirror) made up of a disk partition and also a ram disk.
It seems that at least part of the CPU time is caused by I/O wait.

 I'll post if it helps.
