I think miss read my post if you have a 1ms cmd line ping your on a LAN
but even so I wouldn't expect a 1ms in game ping 30 infact is about right,
may be a little high.
In game pings all depend on game processing ticks ( how many fps
the server does ). The lower the fps on the server the higher the in game
ping no mater what your cmd line ping is.

The difference between Linux and win32 COULD simply be that Linux is
doing real game pings where as win32 is doing cmd line ping.

Not saying that this is the case but it could explain it.

Note: Unless you are running a suitably patched kernel most Linux
servers will show a higher ping than win32 due to the default scheduler
timing.

Also its worth noting guys that I dont think ping issues are going
to come under the microscope until the code base has settled and become
stable. From Ryan's comments this latest build had some pretty major
changes in it so it could a while yet.

It's not accurate when I ping that box from dos and I get reply 1 ms... and
when I connect to server I get 30. when I run win32 version of server I get
0-2 ping, so this absolutely is an issue, coz previous builds showed my ping
correctly.

Is that remote or LAN if its remote then it sounds like its more accurate
now hence not an issue.

Yeah, I have a similar set up and now I've noticed that I have about a 30
to 60 ping when before I had only 1 to 2.
