non-standard port

Should there be any problem using a non-standard port to run the linux
server? The box I am attempting to set up is a former counter-strike
server, and thus the CS default port is open, but no others. While
waiting to get more ports opened up, I have set 'game.setServerPort
27015' in my ServerSettings.con file, and am using a mostly standard
config (Dedicated 1, Internet 1) other than the non-standard port, and a
tweaked maplist.con, but the last console messages I get are :
STUB: Hope this isn't important {Engine/GeomBase/TreeMeshTemplate.cpp:324}.
(0): Error: : 1Failed to load

gamespy: trying to bind to 255.255.255.255, port 23000.

..and I'm unable to connect to port 27015, via BF1942, telnet, etc. I
get the same console results using 14567, but can't test the connection
due to the firewall. The server's definitely running, and eating
resources, but not responding at all.

Thanks for any help,

Eron
