Hehe a listing for the bf1942 process instead of top would be more helpful.
And from the other info you have 115MB of buffers 438MB of cache and 739
total and by my maths that means ALL other processes must be fitting
into 186MB including the problem bf1942 process :P
So unless I got something really confused here I think you need to start
doing some rapid back peddling
