[bf1942] Status of Linux server? Ryan? Hello?

This actually is not the server's fault. It's the kernels fault. The
Linux kernel aggressively caches the filesystem to use as much memory
as possible. You have 449114k going to disk cache. If you were to start
a memory intensive process, it would throw away some of that cache and
use the memory for the new process. The upside is filesystem access is
a lot faster. The downside is that it takes a little more detective
work to know how much memory your process is using.
