Actually I'll just tell ya, Basically all you need is:

game.serverInternet 1
in your serversettings.con file
and
make sure that you forwarded the correct ports to your box. (UDP 23000)
If it still persists try using 0.0.0.0 for game.setServerIP.

Check in the threads history -->
http://icculus.org/cgi-bin/ezmlm/ezmlm-cgi?26 for all the answers you
are finding, also if you read the readme that came packaged with the tar
ball that you unpacked it would tell you that the stream debug errors
are nothing to worry about.

Subject: [bf1942] getting started

i run several half-life mod servers and wanted to add a bf1942 also, so
here i am.

running bf1942 seems pretty straight-forward, however i can't recognize
it as a client.

system: rh7.2

i've setup the ServerSettings.con with the proper IP and port i wish to
run on.

then to run the server, i run the following command:

./bf1942_indexed

upon running this command, i get many errors, ending with a bunch of
"STREAM_DEBUG" lines when they stop. It seems like everything is
running fine on the server side, however I can not see the server from
Gamespy nor All Seeing Eye.

The directory I am running the server from is owned by the user that is
executing the game.

Is there anything I might be missing?

Thanks,
SDE
