	Mostly because I'm scared to.  When /stand/sysinstall warns you that 
this is a very bad idea, I tend to freak out.  And I didn't install from 
source, so make world is also a little iffy to me.  There are several 
people who use the machine, so I can't just crash it at will without 
someone noticing and losing work/e-mail.  It's my only complaint about 
FreeBSD, is that it's never clear how to upgrade it.
