Hiya James... don't have mrtg graphs, but I do have usage stats from
uunet, the provider of the frac t1.
for one week of the bf server nightly
Output 95th Percentile: 142.3 kbps
Input 99th Percentile: 431.8 kbps
its normally Input < 128k
This is a full t1 with 16 player max and its been full every night that
its been up. Oh yeah, each client is limited to 256k connection.
So the usage jumped up about 300% it seems. Possibly web traffic, but
highly unlikely.
Hope this helps

Subject: [bf1942] Real world bandwidth use stats
Hi folks,
I've been lurking on this list for a while, with an eye to putting up a
BF server at some point in the future. Now I'm getting closer to that,
I'm wondering if someone can tell me some real world bandwidth usage
stats. The estimates put out by EA for the Windows server put it at as
high as 6-7Mbps for a full 64 player server. What I want to know is, is
this realistic? Does it really take this much for a 64 player server?
Does anyone have any mrtg charts they'd be willing to share that I can
use to demonstrate the sort of load we're talking about?
Thanks in advance,
James
