I think he ment that EA is not "burning" for releasing linux server... they
do have money to afford 100´s of programmers but they only employ Ryan to do
the job, that’s why the progress is so slow. I mean look at RTR They did a
whole new addon for BF and the linux-server is still not out... Their
priority is our money rest including quality is not so very important to
them. 

EA/Dice have promised release of linux server shortly after 1.2 patch.

Do you understand what's going on here? The server is in development its
still majorly beta. The primary reason behind this is that the original
win32 "server" is not a server. If you've ever run one you will notice that
it starts a full dx window with in game console and everything. So when the
demand for the Linux server became apparent, yes this should be something
factored into the development but so should a real server not just a cut
down client, the work was started. This work is still underway and you cant
expect instant updates to the latest version until the server hits release
quality.

All in all have patience.

Not against you, but EA sux. Linux Server is out at Relase of Fullversion...
we are still waiting for full Linux Server, not beta.
