Betreff: [bf1942] mod distributions in unix friendly compression

I have been struck by the rarity of nise gzipped versions of mods for
dedicated Linux servers out there. Right now I have to download, run the
mod install, then tgz everything up and upload via my wonderful slow
assymetrical dsl connection to my expensive server. Sure would be nice to
use ftp or even lynx from the server and do it in a few seconds?

Anyone know of a site which has a lot of this stuff available in unix
friendly fashion? Or a way to extract from self-extracting Windoze exe's?

Regards,
Lee
