[bf1942] Linux server status report 2003-04-09

I absolutely agree.  I would rather have a 1.4 release with the bugs fixed 
(both windows ones and Linux ones) then get something now.  Personally, 
I'm really impressed that a developer has even responded to the list in 
the regular fashion that Andreas has.

I will gladly await the merged 1.4 code release and at that time, I will 
be happy that Linux and Windows releases will be synchronized.

Thanks for working on the code.  Please try to disregard any hostile 
emails.  In fact, don't even bother responding to this one :)
