Yes, i can confirm ive setup a DC 0.3 linux server,
im not sure where i got the files from, but the process used was the
following.

1. install bf1942-lnxded-1.3beta.tar.bz2
2. bf1942-lnxded-betaupdate-build-LastFromRyan.tar.bz2
3. install DC 0.3 on a windows client and copy "Desert_Combat_2" directory
from your mods directory on your windows client, to your "mods" directory on
your linux server.
4. start your server with the following command line "./bf1942_lnxded
+restart 1 +game Desert_Combat_2 +hostServer 1 +dedicated 1 &"

sorry i cant help on sourcing the mod files. Also setting your server config
is up to yourself.
