You need to forward UDP ports 14567 and 22000 to you game-server, and play around with the setting: 

game.setServerIP <ip of the server>

in config file:

<gameroot>/mods/BF1942/Settings/ServerSettings.con

Running 1942 on linux behind a dsl router, ive got ports 14567 (tcp and udp) forwarded as well as the aseport and gsaport (both 23000) forwarded (tcp and udp) yet people on the net cant see it..

 

any ideas?
